Our Beliefs

Vision
Building strong relationships with our children, families, and community. Gaining the ability to help those who may need it.
Philosophy and Core Values
We believe that children learn at their own pace, and in their own way. When provided with a safe, stimulating environment children will learn through creativity, self-initiated expression and exploration, playful learning, and some directive/structured supported activities. All children will be treated as if they were our own, and redirected with constructive guidance and positive reinforcement, when needed. We believe that it is important for a child to learn that behind every action there may be some consequences. We believe that it takes both parties (teacher and home) to be a unit in the child’s development process, for them to gain the most they can from the learning experiences they will encounter and engage in. We believe that children respond best to consistency, structure, nurturing, and friendly environment. We believe that as teachers, we too, can learn from the children, just as they learn from us. We work with a blended curriculum of child directed activities, as well as teacher directed activities. Because children have different learning styles, we find it being important to use different vehicles to teach them and make material accessible for them to learn, rather its learning through play, worksheets, reading, etc… It is their environment that should be manipulated to build on their developmental skills by the individual level. We allow that opportunity for them to utilize decision making skills. We believe that children need both,
encouragement and praising in their development. It is important that communication remains open between the two parties, and parent involvement is continually encouraged.
