Parent's Corner

Parent's Involvement

There are many ways to stay involved in the center, like come in and share your talent, making appointments to discuss your child goals, concerns, progress (as drop off and pick up times are our busiest time for staff), communicate any changes in your child’s life, donate recycle material
for crafts or gently used books, help with field trips, help make classroom play dough, and try to attend center activities/fundraisers, etc. This is just a few ideas.

For Safety, please bring your child in the building, and sign them in. Make sure the teacher see’s your child. It is a State requirement for your child to be signed in and out daily; followed by initials on pick up.

If you arrive late for drop off,
your child’s schedule pick up time is still expected, unless you
have a prior agreement with the Director.

Three late departures per quarter, without communication, are grounds for suspension or
dismissal. If you must be late due to an emergency, please call the center at onset.
Children may not be released to anyone under the age of 18 years old.

Parents are responsible for dressing their children when they are picked up. Authorized
persons must accompany each child into the center and pick up the child from inside the
center doors or outside play area.
Parents are responsible for initialing absent days as well as present days on the sign in and outsheet.

A copy of a court order is required to be part of the child’s file if anyone is restricted from picking up the child. No child will be given to a person not on the pick-up list. If each parent/guardian is known and a dispute arise amongst each other; telling us the father/mother is not allow to pick the child up will not hold unless a court order is on file. We will NOT be a part of a custody/conferential issue.
If a parent or the responsible party picking up a child appears to be intoxicated or under the influence; your child will not be release. Arrangements will need to be made for your child to be picked up. We

Tots Learning Center & Child Care  are mandated reporters, and are not allowed to release children to those under the influence, and to report it. During the time we wait for another person to pick your child up, you will be charged a late fee. Best practice DO NOT come under the influence to pick your children up from child care.
